I screened two patients this morning and one was a class 3 and the other a class 4. Yay!! I did the x-rays on the class 4 using our new phosphor (sp?) system. It was pretty fun. I really like using them, but loading them correctly into the computer can be a challenge especially when you're doing a full mouth. I'm going to start seeing them next week. I was really hoping to find at least a mockboard pt, but oh well. I'm not really sure what I'm going to do about that. I have one more possibility coming to clinic in a couple of weeks, but I would like to find one before that if possible. This afternoon my pt didn't show up but I found a 1A so that was ok. He was cute. I had to teach him what floss was and how to use it!!
I had a really good day at the VA this week. I got a lot of quads done, but I did feel like it took a while to get back into the swing of things because my first pt was a class 3 and I was having a hard time getting subgingival enough. I ended up doing ok, but it took me a little longer than I wanted it to.

You have got to tell me where you get your patients!!! I'm jealous. Congrats!
Way to go with finding hard classifications! And for using the phosphor plates...one of these days I need to learn how to use them, too. Good luck with a mockboard patient!
I don't know anything about the phosphorous plates! I just saw in the Syllabus that we need to do at least 3 BWX and some PAs. How do we work that thing?
