I'm so glad to be done with mockboards!! I had a somewhat stressful situation. My pt called me yesterday evening and said that he had a coldsore!!! AAAGH! Anyway, Emily S was able to give me a pt who ended up qualifying for mockboards! That was good. I was a little disappointed that I couldn't work on my real board pt and I'm worried that he gets coldsores, but it could have been worse. I passed mockboards, but I did still miss a few pieces of calculus. I also got dinged on the x-rays, but I don't feel bad about that because I just had to go with what I had.
I did learn that I need to explore from different chair positions because when I explored the areas that still had calculus I couldn't really feel it. When I went to the 1:00 position it was totally easy to feel. So anyway, I need to explore from both angles on the real boards. That's a good thing to know!
