Can I just tell everyone how excited I am that summer has finally arrived?! Today was the first day in forever that I have felt really warm! Let the barbecues and picnics begin! We have been having fun planning out our garden and working outside. By we I mean Colby! I do help with the planning, but the actual working is him. :-)
We've had a fun week this week. Emily turned 9 on Wednesday. I can hardly believe how big the kids are getting. We had Taylor's school play on Wednesday too. She played one of the Indians in Peter Pan for the Polk Elementary fifth grade play. She was very cute!
We got to come over to mom's today and have dinner after church. I love doing that because that means I don't have to cook. I have to admit that the cooking gene seems to have skipped a generation. Taylor loves it, but if I never had to cook again that would be ok with me!

Wohoo!!! I couldn't agree more. I'm looking forward to some major fun this summer. :)
It was a gorgeous day today! I'm glad you have been enjoying it. Let's do a bbq soon! I miss you guys. Why is it so hard to get together more often? I'm lame. Sorry. Anyway, I can't believe Emily is 9 already either. Your kids are so fun and smart. I love hanging out with them. Tell Taylor congrats! on her play. :)
I seriously love that summer is here too. It is getting a little too hot too fast, but I am still happy to have it come. Yesterday we swam in the pool by our house and it was so fun. Bring on all the good summer stuff! And yea for getting to go to Aunt Barbaras for dinner. I am with you on the break from cooking!
