Well, today was my first day at the VA. It was pretty confusing at first, but not too bad overall. I didn't quite get the classifications I was hoping for, but oh well. Maybe next time. The computer in my operatory was down so I was given the pt's that didn't need x-rays. :-( Both of my pt's were very nice though. I was able to find root caries on one and he wasn't due for an exam for a while so I was glad about that. I ended up doing five quads of class 5 and two quads of class 2. I felt like I was really able to get the calculus off in a more timely manner which was nice. I'm really tired now though. I'm kind of glad that we don't go every week. I'm starting to feel a little more confidence in my skills. I can usually find the calculus now pretty well with the explorer. Anyway, that's all for now...

Good job Jessica! You are great! Thanks for all your help and encouragement, all I hear from EVERYONE and their freaking dog, is how hard and miserable hygiene school is so its so nice to hear positive comments from you, you are never negative about it:) it helps me soooooooooo much
Welcome to the VA. Everything is always broken. I guess that's what happens when you let tons of different students run wild with old equipment. I'm glad you're feeling confident. The VA seriously tires you out, I agree.
